Christine has worked in Museum Education and non-profit educational organizations for over 20 years. She has held positions at Americans for the Arts in NYC, freelance artists including Pehah Coyne, the Mattatuck Museum and Fairfield Museum, both in Connecticut.. She has led projects such as the NEA-funded The Big Read in Waterbury, CT, convening dozens of community groups for local arts and cultural events. Christine has a Master’s in Social Policy & the Arts and a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, both from SUNY.
In 2008 – 09, Christine led a project funded by the Library of Congress, Teaching with Primary Sources, in collaboration with Fairfield University Graduate School of Education. Professional Development workshops brought scholars, educators, and docents together to explore diverse themes through collections, history and the arts, resulting in lively debate and civic engagement. This project served over 200 teachers and 10,000 students in CT with workshops and teacher resources that supported inquiry-based learning with primary sources.
