Sewing Classes & Workshops

VIntage Singer Sewing Machine

I don’t exactly remember learning how to sew, I picked it up easily from watching my mother and sisters. In middle school I loved Home Ec. I sewed tons and tons of stuffed animals and objects, starting with a light bulb!

I received my first vintage 1929 Singer Featherweight as a gift in ’93. I currently own and display over two dozen examples of machiens from the 18th and 19th centuries.

I began to incorporate sewing into my mixed media artwork in the mid-90s. I also had a “cottage industry” making books, boxes, stationery, and sewn bags.

It’s an honor to share these skills with the world.
